Skip it. Rat COPD models and cell cultures, no human trial, no human safety data. Bronchogen does something to airway tissue in a dish and in a damaged rat lung, but that is a long way from knowing it does anything for yours. If respiratory support is the goal, the real answers are cardiovascular conditioning, breathing practice, and a pulmonologist if something is actually wrong. You are not going to find lung health in a peptide whose best result is a rat inhaling nitrogen dioxide.

Would I take it?Not on this evidence.

What it is

A synthetic four-amino-acid bioregulator from the Khavinson program at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. The idea behind the program is that short peptides derived from specific organs can signal repair and normalize function in those tissues. Bronchogen is the lung entry, designed to support respiratory epithelium. Its sibling chonluten targets the same territory from the bronchial and inflammatory side, while epitalon, the pineal peptide, is the best-known of the group.

No one has identified a receptor target or a clean signaling pathway in humans. The published literature is rat COPD models and cell-culture work, plus one study showing bronchogen stimulates growth in tobacco plants, the most on-brand finding a lung peptide could produce.

What the research shows

No human trials. Zero. Everything below is animal or in-vitro work. Read it as “interesting,” not “evidence it works in you.”

Rat COPD models and cell-culture work. No human trial, no systematic review:

In rats exposed intermittently to nitrogen dioxide for 60 days, one month of bronchogen eliminated goblet cell hyperplasia, squamous metaplasia, lymphocytic infiltration and emphysema and restored ciliated cells.Bull Exp Biol Med 2015 · rat COPD
In cultured human embryonic bronchial cells, bronchogen stimulated expression of the differentiation factors CXCL12 and Hoxa3.Bull Exp Biol Med 2012 · bronchial cells in vitro

Realistic protocols

No published study supports a human dose, route, or schedule for bronchogen. The community borrows the Khavinson bioregulator course: short subcutaneous runs of 10 to 20 days, repeated once or twice a year. That schedule comes from the Khavinson program’s own tradition, not from any controlled trial. If you run it, keep the course short, log what you notice, and do not expect a rat COPD reversal to say anything about your lungs.

Side effects

No human safety data exists, so this is community-reported and theoretical:

unknownZero human safety or tolerability data. The entire side-effect profile is unmapped.
anecdotalThe handful of people running bronchogen as part of a bioregulator stack rarely single it out. Nothing notable attributed to it specifically, for better or worse.
