Privacy policy

The Dose Guy (thedoseguy.com) is a read-only reference site. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no newsletter and no checkout, so there is very little to collect. This policy covers the website and its MCP servers at https://thedoseguy.com/api/mcp andhttps://thedoseguy.com/api/mcp-info.

What is collected

  • Request data. The site and the MCP servers run on Cloudflare. To deliver each response and protect the service from abuse, Cloudflare processes standard request data: IP address, user agent, the URL requested and similar metadata.
  • Vendor link clicks. When you follow a vendor link, I record the vendor, the compound and page you clicked from, any partner referral code, and your country as derived by Cloudflare. Your IP address is not stored with it.
  • Partner referral cookie. If you arrive through a partner link, a first-party cookie named dg_ref stores that partner’s code so the referral is credited. It holds no personal information and is the only cookie the site sets.
  • Page analytics. The site may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without tracking you across sites.
  • MCP tool calls. The MCP servers need no account, sign-in or personal information. A tool call carries only the arguments your AI client sends, such as a search term or a compound name. They are used to answer that call and are not stored or linked to you. The servers never receive your conversation.
  • Email. If you write to me, I keep your message and address so I can reply.

How it is used

To serve pages and tool results, keep the service working and secure, count which vendors and pages get clicks, credit partner referrals, and answer email. None of it is used to build advertising profiles, sold, or used to train AI models.

Who else sees it

  • Cloudflare hosts the site and processes request data on my behalf under its privacy policy.
  • Vendors. When you follow a link to a vendor, their site receives your visit and, for affiliate links, a code showing the visit came from here. Their own privacy policy applies from that point.
  • Nobody else, unless the law requires it. Personal data is never sold or rented.

How long it is kept

  • Cloudflare request logs: deleted automatically within 7 days.
  • Click records: about 90 days. After that only monthly totals per vendor, compound and partner remain.
  • The dg_ref cookie: 30 days on your device, or until you delete it.
  • MCP tool arguments: not kept.
  • Email: as long as it takes to handle your request.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies and the site still works. Nothing here identifies you, so there is usually nothing to export or erase, but if you want to ask what is held about you, email me and I will answer.

Adults only

This site is written for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
