How the check works
Every night at about 03:30 UTC my sweep loads each store's full catalog. A store whose catalog loads is up for that night. Three failed checks in a row flag it as unreachable, and that run counts as an outage until a check gets through again; one or two misses don't, because a single failed fetch is usually noise.
Uptime is the share of the last 30 or 90 days outside an outage, measured the same way as uptime in the best-value ranking, which also scores a store that's unreachable right now at zero until it's back. A vendor tracked for less than that is measured from its first night; tracking began on August 20, 2026. When a failure was on my side, like a fetcher blocked by a bot check, I review it and leave it out, so a vendor never loses uptime for my bugs. A vendor moves to "shut down" only when I've confirmed it no longer sells.
