HGH vs CJC-1295
6 sources
Start with CJC-1295, the no-DAC form, stacked with ipamorelin. It pushes your own pituitary to release more GH, keeps your axis running, and is the gentler way to learn what more GH does for you. HGH is stronger and more reliable, with far deeper human data, and it is what you graduate to when the stack is not enough or results matter more than cost. Run one lane at a time, not both.
How they differ
The difference that matters is where the GH comes from. CJC-1295 is a GHRH analog, a copy of the signal your hypothalamus sends to tell your pituitary to release GH, so it can only ask for what your pituitary is able to make. HGH is the hormone itself, a set dose whether your pituitary is young and eager or not. That is why HGH works more reliably, and why it costs you something CJC-1295 does not: your own production turns down while you run HGH, while CJC-1295 keeps your axis doing the work.
CJC-1295 rarely runs alone. Most people pair it with ipamorelin on the GHRP side, the trigger half of the pair: one primes the pituitary, the other pulls the trigger, and together they fire a bigger, cleaner pulse than either alone. So the real question is usually HGH against CJC and ipa, and the answer holds: the stack first, HGH as the step up. If your search said DAC, that is the original molecule, which hangs on albumin for days and raises your GH floor between pulses the whole time. The no-DAC form, sold as Mod GRF 1-29, clears fast and fires short, clean pulses, and it is what people run.
You feel the gap in practice. HGH at a body-composition dose brings water, achy joints, tingling hands, and a blood sugar cost, all scaling with dose. CJC-1295 is mild by comparison, mostly a flush after the shot. The rhythm differs too. HGH is one morning pin. The stack is a pre-bed pin at minimum on an empty stomach, which in practice means eating dinner earlier.
What the research shows
Nobody has put CJC-1295 against HGH, and the two evidence bases measure different things: hormone levels for CJC-1295, body composition for HGH. Both CJC-1295 receipts are on the DAC molecule; the no-DAC form has never been in a human study.
So HGH has outcomes, with an asterisk on the lean mass, and CJC-1295 has a clean mechanism with a gap where the outcomes should be. That gap is the price of the gentler route.
How people run them
The stack is the start. Run no-DAC CJC-1295 at 100 mcg with ipamorelin in the same syringe, sub-q, pre-bed, two hours or more after your last meal. Add a morning or pre-workout shot once the pre-bed one is routine. The receptor saturates at a modest dose, so more CJC-1295 does not buy proportionally more GH; consistency does. Give it a few months before you judge.
HGH, when you move to it, is one morning pin on an empty stomach. Start at 1 to 2 IU; most people land at 2 to 4 IU for body composition. Hold the dose that works, because HGH’s sides climb faster than its benefits.
Switching up, drop the stack and take your first HGH pin the next morning, low. No washout. Switching down from HGH, start the stack the next night and give your pituitary a few weeks to come back up before you judge it; it sat idle while you ran HGH.
Don’t stack them. HGH turns your pituitary down, so a GHRH push on top mostly buys you more pins, not more GH. Pick the lane.
