Dianabol vs Anadrol
5 sources
Dianabol, for most people who want an oral mass kickstart. It is the gentler of the two, its estrogen answers to an ordinary aromatase inhibitor, and 20 or 30 mg a day already brings fast, visible size. Anadrol is the step past it: more size and more strength, paid for in liver, blood pressure, appetite, and energy. Take anadrol only if you have run dianabol, know how you respond, and still want more. Never run them together.
How they differ
Both are fast, wet mass orals, and both do the same job: four to six weeks at the front of a longer injectable cycle on a testosterone base. The difference is how hard they hit and where the side effects come from. Dianabol converts to estrogen readily, so its water and gyno risk are predictable and an aromatase inhibitor handles them. Anadrol does not aromatize at all, yet it still brings water, bloat, and gyno, through a pathway an AI does not touch; a SERM is the tool if gyno shows up. Carry your dianabol habits over and pile on the AI with anadrol, and you end up with crashed estrogen and the bloat anyway.
Day to day, they feel different. Dianabol tends to leave you hungry, pumped, and in a good mood, which suits a bulk. Anadrol is the odd mass drug: the higher you dose it, the less you can eat, and lethargy and a bigger blood pressure rise come along. At 50 mg most people still eat and grow. Past that, food becomes the fight, and a mass oral you cannot eat on is wasted.
Strength is where anadrol earns its name. The jump on the bar is bigger and comes quickly, which is the whole reason people step up to it. But dianabol’s first four weeks are already plenty for a second or third cycle. Either way, expect some of the scale weight to leave with the water when you drop it; what stays is the strength base you built.
What the research shows
No trial put these two side by side, so these are separate records in very different people: older men and HIV wasting for anadrol, trained men in the 1970s for dianabol.
The two 3.3 kg figures are a coincidence, not a tie: one is lean mass in older men over 12 weeks, the other body weight in young athletes over six, at a dose double what anyone sane runs. What the anadrol trials do show is a liver cost that climbs with dose, which is why 50 mg is its ceiling worth running.
How people run them
Run either for four to six weeks on testosterone, then drop it and let the injectables carry the cycle. Dianabol is 20 to 50 mg a day, split into two or three doses because it clears fast; start at 20 or 30. Anadrol is 50 mg a day, or 25 if 50 hits too hard. The numbers overlap and the drugs do not: 50 mg of anadrol is a much bigger day than 50 mg of dianabol. On both, extra dose buys water and liver stress faster than it buys muscle.
Estrogen is where the plans split. On dianabol, keep an AI on hand and dose it to symptoms. On anadrol, dose the AI only for what your testosterone base needs, and keep a SERM like nolvadex ready for anadrol’s own gyno.
If anadrol flattens you mid-kickstart, finishing the weeks on dianabol is a sane bail-out: stop anadrol, start dianabol at 20 or 30 the next day, and keep the combined oral run inside six weeks. Moving up from dianabol to anadrol belongs in a later cycle, starting at 25 mg, not in the middle of this one.
Do not stack them. Old-school bulks ran both; two 17-alpha-alkylated orals, the kind built to survive the liver and stress it on the way, double the liver and blood pressure bill for size either one gets you alone. Alcohol is zero on either. Plan your PCT or TRT, and get bloodwork: liver, lipids, blood pressure, estrogen.
Side effects, side by side
The same class costs on both, anadrol heavier on nearly every one, and each needs a different estrogen tool:
